Deino is a Blue Fledgling in the House of Night Series. Her name means "terrible." She placed in eleventh in the International Shakespeare Monologue Competition held in Betrayed with Cleopatra's death scene monologue. She and Aphrodite make up for Deino being a hateful bitch to her after she was kicked out of the Dark Daughters and Sons and Zoey took her place as the leader. She is one of the fledglings and vampyres to fight the Raven Mockers and were not under Kalona's spell.
